Workshop: Design Is the New Language of Brands
11th Aug 2016
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
The stories of brands are now being written by consumers, not the corporations that created them. In this context, the role of branding has changed from creating identity, to shaping experiences.
Chris Fjelddahl, founder of Eight Partnership uses three case studies to illustrate how an integrated design philosophy harmonises products, spaces, communications and brand identity to deliver superior experiences to consumers. The cases cover the rebranding of renowned Cathay Pacific Airways, the branding of the award-winning Puli Hotel in Shanghai, and the creation of luxury property brand Odin in Niseko, Japan.
Headquartered in Hong Kong, Eight has won numerous awards including Brand Consultancy of the Year, as well as Design Firm of the Year 2016 (Singapore-based Marketing Magazine).
