Strategic Lead

We have a Strategist role in this Inbound and Brand Marketing focused agency in Sydney. With the option to work remote or a combination of remote and in office out of their CBD coworking space; the role will work directly with clients to understand their goals and then develop inbound focused digital and content marketing strategies that deliver to objectives. This is also a leadership position, you will guide and build teams, monitor performance against KPIs and drive for process improvements, efficacy, and excellence.
You will have at least 5 years of experience leading data-driven marketing strategies, ideally with solid know-how within inbound marketing and hands on experience with Martech automation platforms such as HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot or Eloqua. In a perfect world you will have worked as an account manager before moving to focus on strategy, within an agency environment. You will be a confident communicator who can guide your internal resources and client marketing teams, with a solid handle on the latest trends within digital and content.
Must haves:
- 4+ years content or marketing role hands-on developing and/or executing inbound strategies
- B2b marketing experience
- Marketing automation tech experience - hands-on (HubSpot, Pardot, Marketo)
- A good understanding and proven experience achieving results using b2b marketing methodologies including:
- Content marketing strategy development & execution (persona development, SEO, blogging, eBooks, web copy)
- Briefing and analysing performance of paid distribution channels (Google ads, LinkedIn, industry publications)
- Website optimisation
- Email marketing
- Evidence of data-driven strategic decisions and plans based on a test and measure approach
- Confident client-facing communicator
- High accountability for results, can operate in a highly transparent and accountable environment.
Nice-to-haves:
- HubSpot experience
- Agency experience
- Worked as an account manager or project manager before being a strategist, aka understanding how to execute and deliver strategies on budget and on time
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Account-based marketing hands-on experience
- Previous experience in digital marketing - paid social, PPC and/or SEO strategies, set-ups, monitoring and optimisation
