Our client is one of Australia's leading retailers, offering a wide range of products across clothing, home, toys, tech and more, who are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager - Catalogue to look after this critical leadership role.  This is a Sydney based role.

About the Role:

The Senior Marketing Manager, Catalogue is a critical leadership role responsible for driving the strategy, execution, and performance of this retail Catalogue. This role holds end-to-end P&L accountability for this channel and will be instrumental in driving customer engagement, sales growth, and achieving overall business objectives.

Reporting to the Head of Customer Engagement, you will lead a team of specialists and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across Marketing, Commercial, Digital, and Operations to ensure seamless and impactful delivery of the digital and printed Catalogue. Your focus will be on continuous improvement, innovation, and leveraging data-driven insights to optimise channel performance and deliver exceptional ROI.

What You Will Be Doing:

As the Senior Marketing Manager - Catalogue, you will hold the keys to one of the most iconic channels, actioning the strategy to transform how this retailer engages with millions of Aussie families. Leading a talented team of specialists, you will thrive on innovation and data-driven insights to evolve our digital and print strategy, ensuring every edition delivers maximum impact and exceptional ROI across the business. Partnering with the Marketing, Commercial and Operations teams, as well as the external vendors, this role will allow you to test and experiment on best practice for the catalogues, backed by data-lead decisions, where your input will be seen by millions of customers.

  • Lead the end-to-end evolution of the digital and print catalogues, from strategic planning and audience segmentation to executing high-impact promotional campaigns that drive trade performance.
  • Take end-to-end accountability for the catalogue budget, leveraging financial insights and performance reporting to drive revenue growth and optimise channel profitability.
  • Scale channel reach and conversion by leading the digital re-platforming of our app and print catalogues, creating engaging content, and expanding vendor-funded opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Marketing, and Operations teams to align product priorities and promotional messaging, while managing external agency relationships to ensure a seamless cross-channel customer experience.
  • Leverage GA4 and platform analytics to monitor KPIs, driving a culture of continuous testing and process automation to enhance campaign effectiveness and ROI.
  • Manage digital assets and content using Figma and AEM, ensuring all catalogue experiences align with email marketing best practices and compliance regulations.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing, results-oriented team of local and international specialists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration with design and marketing partners.

 

What You Will Bring:

  • Minimum 8+ years of marketing experience, ideally with a strong background in large-scale retail catalogue programs.
  • Proven success in end-to-end P&L management, budget accountability, and developing strategies that drive sales growth.
  • Expert analytical skills with proficiency in GA4 to interpret insights and optimise channel performance.
  • Experience navigating CMS (ideally AEM) and design tools like Figma to review creative assets.
  • A natural leader with a track record of mentoring global teams and influencing senior cross-functional stakeholders.
  • A commitment to accuracy and process improvement, with the ability to implement efficient workflows in a fast-paced environment.
