In Motion
Gaffa Gallery will hold a dedicated round of exhibitions, with solo and group shows by local artists celebrating makers in motion. They will showcase a diverse range of craft practices from emerging to mid-career. This will include an opening event to the public to celebrate the exhibitions.
Gaffa will open its studio doors for a chance for visitors to meet the makers and their spaces. They’ll have the opportunity to have a rare peek inside the maker’s creative process, see and purchase one off samples or collection pieces direct, and get to experience our incredible glass house building with a flourishing roof-top urban jungle in the heart of Sydney’s CBD.
Exhibitions:
hi vis – Elaine Goodridge, Ceri Muter, Penny McLaren and Lynn Pavey
The works are largely non-figurative, in an aesthetic language articulating pattern, texture, colour and the embodiment of time vested in their manufacture.
Lost in Thought – Zara Collins
Trying to make sense of the extraordinary force of nature, the fragility of existence and a year of unprecedented upheaval internationally – this exhibition is a search for mindfulness in uncertain times.
The Macro in the Micro – Karin Findeis
A contemporary jewellery exhibition investigating the intersection between textiles and jewellery via the stitch, pixel, dots and particles.
