Senior Freelance Umbraco Developer

We have partnered with a leading creative studio to find a Senior Freelance Umbraco Developer to support an upcoming website project. This role involves full-stack development within Umbraco CMS, working closely with the internal design and strategy team to bring a new site to life based on supplied designs.

A key focus of the project will be developing a new search and tagging system to manage and display a large library of existing resources that will be migrated from the current site.

The engagement is expected to commence in January 2026 and run for approximately three months, at 2–3 days per week, with the potential to extend. The role offers full flexibility to work remotely and is best suited to a senior-level developer with strong technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and implement the new website within Umbraco CMS based on supplied designs
• Develop and integrate a custom search and tagging system for a large content library
• Ensure smooth migration of existing resources and data
• Collaborate with internal designers and project managers to deliver functional and aesthetic alignment
• Maintain clean, scalable code and adhere to best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as needed

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in Umbraco CMS (front and back end)
• Strong skills in C#, .NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies
• Experience developing and integrating custom search and tagging functionality
• Familiarity with data migration workflows and content management at scale
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to manage timelines and deliverables independently
• Senior-level experience with similar website builds
